Sophie was born and raised in San Diego, CA and received a BS in Biological Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2018. Shortly after graduating, Sophie moved to the Eastern Sierra to work seasonally and embrace the exceptional recreational opportunities available in the Sierra. Sophie has worked as a ski patroller and conservation landscaper and has always harbored a deep interest in the environment and how people interact with and effect it. Currently, Sophie feels that working with HSEF is the ideal way to combine her passions and help the Eastern Sierra move toward a more sustainable future that will benefit the environment and people alike.
