Jess Blackwell

Program Manager

Jess joined HSEF in June 2022 and brings a strong background in project management, community engagement, and team leadership. Prior to HSEF, she worked as a Project Manager at a boutique marketing and research consultancy, and as a Sales Manager at REI, where she oversaw a team of 30+ staff and managed $11M in annual department sales.

Born and raised in San Diego, Jess holds a B.A. in Media Studies and Communications from the University of California, Berkeley. She is passionate about building equitable, sustainable programs that connect resources with the communities that need them most. When she is not crafting compelling copy or managing programs, you'll find Jess cooking, reading, or enjoying the big backyard of the Eastern Sierra, happily hiking, skiing, and climbing.
